Cebu Bikers First Official Bike Ride
Rossi suggested that I write again another article for Aug. 9 ride. I'm gathering my thoughts and can't seem to write one. So, I do hope that you guys out there won't mind the writing style that I am using now: Aug. 9, 2008, I came out from work, 6 in the morning. T'was a sunny Saturday morning. I was telling myself, it's another wonderful day that God has given us. Then I grabbed my stuff and went directly to Shell Lahug where we will be meeting. Motorcycle riders from different places, from the north and south, gathered around for the very first CEBU BIKERS OFFICIAL RIDE. Now, this is history in the making for the said group. There were 20 motorcycle riders, all dressed and geared up for the Transcentral-Balamban-Toledo-Naga route. All were excited and we could sense the spirit of camaraderie being formed. New faces, new riders and even the pioneers of the said group were present to witness this historical event and made it possible. {mos_fb_discuss:6} We departed from Shell Lahug at around 7:30am. Rossi led the group to our first stop at Transcentral Park Ayala Heights - Busay. Most of the members riding with the group have never joined a group ride like this, including myself. Upon reaching the first pit stop, I pondered and congratulated myself that I was able to go up there even if my carb was acting up. I really had a hard time going up the slopes but thanks to our sweeper, Hayden, who never left me and encouraged me along the way. He may not know this but he gave me encouragement without saying a thing. As I see other riders zooming and having a wonderful ride, I too, did not worry about my bike for acting up but enjoyed the ride. When we reached the second stop, t'was along a cliff, I saw the beauty of nature. T'was overlooking the city, fresh air and even the sun did not penetrate our jackets coz' of the cool breeze of the mountains. There you can appreciate nature at its best, trees and green grass all around you. To add to the scenery, we talked and planned for our next pit stop. It was still 9am when we reached the top and it would be a waste if we go back. That's the time we decided to continue with our original plan. Then we went our way and finding ourselves in Naga, where we ate lunch. Oh man, that was a great place to stop. My jaw dropped coz' I saw something that really woke my appetite....Seafood!!!! Yeah, it's all fresh seafood and the way I like it.
That was a great experience not only for me, but for the others, too. I know that everybody had fun. I can just imagine the other riders going home bringing with them a BIG SMILE on their faces coz' I know I did. The heat of the sun didn't bother me at all. I surely will be doing it again with CEBUBIKERS for it will be another memory to cherish for the rest of my life.

P.S. We would like to extend our appreciation to Kickstart who went ahead of us to take pictures. But, unfortunately, he had to leave us in Transcentral. Hope you can join us next time, bro. kickstart.
