Cebu Bikers Rules & Regulations

 

The aim of Cebu Bikers Online Community is to foster, encourage and maintain an interest in motorcycles; to provide technical assistance to its members, to meet one another and discuss motorcycling in a friendly atmosphere and finally to establish and maintain good relationships between motorcyclists and the general public. Therefore, we need to follow these rules as guidelines.

 

I.        General Rule

1.    Your access to or use of Cebu Bikers.com Online Community and its services shall be deemed your acceptance to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this agreement.

 2.    As a registered member, you have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions of this site.

3.    The group will be known as Cebu Bikers Community, sometimes termed for short as “CB”. We are NOT a Racing team.

4.    Cebu Bikers shall be administered by a Management Committee or the “Admin Team”.

 

Cebu Bikers shall comprise the following committees:

  • Web Site Administrators
  • Global Moderators
  • Bike Group Moderators

 

5.    Members shall abide by the rules of Cebu Bikers at all times.

6.    Members must obey traffic rules at all times.

7.    DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE. No over or excessive drinking of alcohols. Do not mix alcohol and motorcycle riding at anytime, especially when riding in a group or bike rides. Any member caught or had an accident due to influence of alcohol will be reprimanded accordingly.

8.    NO TO DRUGS. Any member caught using or selling illegal drugs will be banned and removed from the membership automatically without prior notice.

9.    Always give priority and importance to your work or studies before Cebu Bikers. Cebu Bikers will not be held responsible for your loss of job or failures in school/study.

10. Cebu Bikers general meetings are held on schedule or spontaneously. It’s your responsibility to be aware of such meetings.

11. Members shall not indulge or join into illegal bike races or drag races. Cebu Bikers DOES NOT promote illegal racing. Any member caught wearing the Cebu Bikers t-shirts, jerseys or jackets and participated in an illegal race will be dealt with accordingly and can result to losing their membership and banned from the website.

12. All makes, models, and styles of motorcycles are accepted and must be kept street legal and all paperwork required to ride must be kept up to date.

13. All members are expected to show respect to every co-members at all times regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual preference, motorcycle brand or maker preference, or financial status.

14. Any member in CB attire caught getting involved in street fights or conflict with other bike groups will be dealt accordingly. We are not a fight club or your back-up fighting team.

 

 

 II.        Membership

1.    Any person wishing to join Cebu Bikers must register to the website and fill-out all the necessary personal details. The Admin Team reserves the right to accept or reject any application without reason being given.

2.    Persons wishing to join must be at least 18 years old and should have a valid driver’s license.

3.    All New members will receive a copy of the Cebu Bikers rules and regulations form. These rules will also be available for viewing on the web site.

4.    To become a member, an individual must simply present an interest in joining the community. Interest is established by spending time with the group, attending events, active in the website and joining in on rides with the group.

5.    Your membership does not include your motorcycles. Membership only applies to the motorcycle owner. Spouses and/or partners are not members automatically.

6.    The Cebu Bikers logo may only be displayed or worn by registered members.

7.    Every member is bound to abide by the rules and regulations, and any modification thereof notified to them in writing, made in conformity with such rules.

8.    In the event of a breach of Cebu Bikers rules by a member, or conduct on the part of a member rendering it desirable that the member should cease to be a member, a meeting of the current committee shall be convened to inquire as to whether a reason for expulsion has occurred or not. In the event of any member being, in the opinion of the committee, in breach of the rules and regulations or guilty of conduct undesirable to the aims and objectives of the club, such as reckless riding or behavior prejudicial to the interest of motorcycling, the member shall be called before the committee and, failing satisfactory explanation, be cautioned or suspended, or be required to discontinue their membership. The member will be given the opportunity to defend themselves to the members at the meeting or at least within 24 hours.

 

 

III.        Requirements to join Cebu Bikers     

 

1.    Must register first to the website.

2.    Must be at least 18 years old.

3.    Must be able to sign the Cebu Bikers Rules and Regulations agreement forms, Biodata and a photocopy of their driver’s license.

4.    Must have a valid driver’s license.  (A photocopy of your driver’s license will be required)

5.    Member’s motorcycle must have an updated and unexpired registration (O.R. & C.R.)

6.    No criminal records, on going civil or criminal court cases of sort.

7.    Must have a good and working protective gear and/or Helmet at all times.

8.    Must not posses a stolen or smuggled motorcycle.

 

 

IV.        Use of Cebu Bikers Logo and Name 

 

Philippine copyright law is enshrined in the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, officially known as Republic Act No. 8293.

Cebu Bikers.com logo and related graphics are registered trademarks of Cebu Bikers.com community website. All rights reserved.

Unless otherwise specified and/or credited all images, artwork, logo fonts, graphic design, logos and logotypes, Flash animation examples, are the copyright and/or trademark of Cebu Bikers.com. All rights reserved. All other images are the copyright and/or trademark of the respective owners.

Any authorized reproduction of this material shall be reported to the original holder of said copyright or trademark. We also reserve the right to publish any incidents that are unauthorized usage of Cebu Bikers.com. Such publication is not in lieu of legal action and we further reserve the right to take whatever legal action deemed necessary. By utilizing this web site you agree to the terms of use as stated here.

 

Terms of use

Members, Clients or resellers may utilize certain images and/or text from Cebu Bikers.com in their marketing materials, but any such reproduction is subject to prior written permission by The Cebu Bikers.com Administrator and subsequent approval of the usage of such matter. V.        Bike Ride Rules 

 

1.    Bike rides may be referred to as a long ride or a short ride with group of bikers/members.

2.    The Biker should be wearing proper gear and helmet. It’s advisable to wear DOT approved helmets, complete body armors/gears and knee and elbow pads.

3.    Shall wear eye protection such as goggles or a face shield that meets the shatter or dust.

4.    Must also wear long pants, proper footwear, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and full-fingered gloves. NO SLIPPERS, NO SHORTS or SANDALS.

5.    Shall be licensed, tagged/registered and insured for the vehicle that they are operating.

6.    Shall keep their motorcycle in proper operating condition including but not limited to vehicle equipment and operation requirements.

7.    Proof of license, registration, insurance can be requested and an inspection of condition and or equipment are done by any CB officer or Marshals who may deny participation for failure to meet the necessary requirements in the interest of the group's safety.

8.    Every bike ride will be headed and controlled by the ride marshals.

 

Cebu Bikers Rides shall comprise the following marshals:

Pacer

  • Always leads the group at all times.
  • In charge of the pacing.
  • In charge of navigating the bike route.
  • In charge of the setting the ride speeds.
  • In charge of ride signals like forming 1 or 2 lines.

Sweeper

  • Always behind the last biker.
  • In charge of monitoring every riders riding condition.
  • In charge of monitoring the ride trail for misrouted or stranded biker.
  • In charge of checking for missing biker.

Medic

  • Always brings along first aid kit in case of emergency.
  • In charge of attending injured biker in an accident.
  • Should be able to declare the riding condition of the biker in an accident to the marshals.

 

9.    Members participating in the rides shall follow, at all times, road instructions given by the Marshals.

10. Members participating in the rides are required to have proper rest prior to the ride to avoid accidents and jeopardize safety of other bikers.

11. NO OVERTAKING or other reckless activities that will disrupt the flow of the ride formation and jeopardize safety of other bikers.

12. NO STUNTS. Any member caught doing stunts while on the ride formation will be dealt accordingly.

13. If the biker will be bringing alone a back ride or passenger, he/she is still required to wear proper gear and helmet.

14. Every biker should bring along means of communication like cell phones or UHF/VHF Radios.
